The opera glasses measure 2 1/4 inches in height when closed and 2 7/8th inches high when fully extended, and are 3 7/8 inches across the base of the lenses. The telescoping opera glasses are covered with iridescent mother-of-pearl panels and each eyepiece is topped with a MOP disk one reads LEMAIRE FT PARIS with two representations of LeMaire's bumble bee logo, the other is marked "HENRY KAHN & CO / San Francisco." The gilt metal frame is ornamented with four beaded bands and stamped Made in France with two patent numbers dated Nov.28.82 and May.7.95 on the bridge, marked LEMAIRE PARIS / TRADEMARK at the end of the handle, and monogrammed with ornate CWG initials on the frame.
